What's New
This release adds improved social distancing features, refined escalator decision control, improved UI adjustments, and bug fixes.
This version of Pathfinder uses version 1.8.0_172 of the Java VM.
Changes since Pathfinder 2020.2.0527:
- Added a social distancing behavior to replace forced separation. It is available in the Advanced tab of the Profiles dialog.
- Added the ability to restrict the usage of escalators separately from stairs in the occupant profile.
- Added the ability to restrict usage of escalators by their up/down orientation.
- Added the ability to restrict the usage of moving walkways separately from ramps in the occupant profile.
- Improved occupant behavior in front of closed doors while waiting for them to open.
- Improved the social distance calculation to respect boundary edges (i.e. walls).
- Improved the social distancing user interface language for clarity.
- Improved how wide doors are chosen based on distance.
- Improved occupant rendering performance when viewed as people and when viewed as shapes. Improvements are substantial for most GPUs, especially with diverse occupant populations and high occupant counts.
- Improved occupant model import dialog to truncate long text and provide tooltips.
- Improved model repositioning after import.
- Fixed a crash which occurred when deleting an elevator.
- Fixed a bug in the time calculation of the social distancing accumulated CSV output.
- Fixed a bug with occupant behavior when using very large doors and movement groups.

Changes to Results:

- Added the ability to show an occupant spacing disk from the View menu that can be set to the occupant Social Distance value or a custom value.
- Improved occupant rendering performance when viewed as people and when viewed as shapes. Improvements are substantial for most GPUs, especially with diverse occupant populations and high occupant counts.
- Improved vector display to scale uniformly for all slices.
- Camera now rotates on its own to its target position when the simulation is paused and an occupant is being followed.
- Fixed a bug where occupant animations are synchronized.
- Fixed a crash when loading an SMVV file with only 1 or 2 out of 3 slice vector components
