What's New
This release adds social distance modeling behavior and analysis, smoke influenced speed, custom avatars, Monte Carlo simulation improvements, advanced colorbar visualization for analysis, and bug fixes.
This version of Pathfinder uses version 1.8.0_172 of the Java VM.
Changes since Pathfinder 2020.1.0219:
- Added option to slow occupants in response to smoke.
- Added social distancing forced separation option for steering mode that will cause agents to attempt to maintain comfort distance at all times.
- Added social distance reporting (sd_transient.csv, sd_accumulated.csv).
- Added _groups.csv to report group IDs and membership.
- Added the ability to import a custom occupant avatar.
- Added the ability to import a custom vehicle avatar.
- Added an option to move geometry to origin during import.
- Monte Carlo now keeps agents in the same room when randomizing their position by default. The "any_room" tag has been added to allow agents to be placed in any room in the model.
- Improved performance when choosing very large background images. Image buttons now show the filename of the last chosen image instead of nothing.
- Added a "Skip Update" button to the Check For Updates dialog to skip the current update and resume checking for updates once the next one is released.
- Fixed a bug that could cause simulations to crash after a room filled to capacity.
- Fixed a bug importing some Fbx files where geometry might be in the wrong location.
- Changed default tool from the Orbit tool to the Select tool.
- Added new web site for support content.
- Reorganized the Help menu to reflect conversion of docs from bundled PDFs to online resources.
Changes to Results:
- Added a "Social Usage" occupant contour that shows counts of nearby occupants for each location of the navigation mesh.
- Added a "Social Linkage" occupant contour that shows, for each occupant, the number of nearby occupants.
- Added the ability to create sample points on occupant contours and export their time history data to a CSV or TSV file.
- Added the ability to display the data from Data3d Points in a time history plot.
- Added the ability to export the data from Data3d Points to a CSV or TSV file.
- Added the ability to display sample point data in a time history plot.
- Added the ability to color occupants by their value on an occupant contour.
- Made the color bar title for LOS occupant contours show the LOS type.
- Added value highlighting to the occupant contour colorbar.
- Added value clipping/truncation to the occupant contour colorbar.
- Added more fading options to the occupant contour colorbar.
- Added coloring options in the View menu when occupants are viewed as people.
- Occupant paths are now colored correctly over time for all occupant coloring options.
- Changed default tool from the Orbit tool to the Select tool. Fixed a bug where occupants might be displayed as cylinders or polygons instead of people.
- Fixed a memory leak when deactivating FDS results.
- Fixed a bug where tour timelines were not being saved with the visualization file.
- Fixed a bug where an occupant path might remain yellow after deselecting the occupant.
- Fixed a bug where Pathfinder results wouldn't load if the filename starts with a space.
- Fixed a bug where tool cursor guides might show up in screenshots and movies.
- Added new web site for support content.
