What's New
This release adds visual and usability improvements, bug fixes, and a system to save and restore results settings.
This version of Pathfinder uses version 1.8.0_172 of the Java VM.
Changes since Pathfinder 2019.1.0508:
- Added antialiasing (multisampling) for improved visual quality.
- Added anisotropic filtering for improved texture quality.
- Improved background image quality.
- Added label to show the existing version of the software in the Check for Updates window.
- Adjusted width of numerical text boxes to be 3 columns wider so that numbers are not cut off.
- Fixed a bug that might cause stair rise/run to be displayed incorrectly in the 3D view if the stair was created with the one-point tool with a specified step count.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a crash when door queues were updated.
- Fixed a bug where Pathfinder would not start on Windows Server unless Desktop Experience was enabled.
- Fixed a bug that caused manually entered data on the Rectangular Room tool to be ignored.
- Fixed a bug that could cause occupants to take the wrong path to reach double-deck elevators.
- Fixed a bug in the display of elevator occupants that could cause them to briefly appear to bounce.
- Fixed a bug where simulator output file names would not be properly generated from certain PTH file names.
Changes to Results:
- Added results visualization management that allows results settings to be saved to and loaded from disk.
- Added a feature to show and hide Pathfinder background images separately from imported geometry.
- Added antialiasing (multisampling) for improved visual quality.
- Added anisotropic filtering for improved texture quality.
- Added support for skyboxes.
- Improved Pathfinder background image quality.
- Fixed a bug where selected objects remain in the model after replacing a results set.
- Fixed reset to selected action doesn't work when floors laid out horizontally.
- Fixed a bug that could prevent Results from starting with the message "The program can't start because WMVCore.DLL is missing from your computer".
- Fixed incorrect time estimate in Create Movie progress dialog.
- Fixed a bug where the Recent Files list might be cleared when starting Results.
- Fixed a bug where screenshots and movies might be look incorrect if FDS smoke or fire is active and the screenshot size matches the window size.
- Fixed a bug where Results might crash if add a 2D slice to a 3D slice that doesn't exist in every mesh.
