Pathfinder 2015.1.0515
Pedestrian movement clarity without complexity
Version: 2015.1.0515
May 15, 2015
What's New
This update adds support for dynamic contours in the 3D results, user control of the fundamental diagram, and an improved occupant movement model.
This version of Pathfinder uses version 1.8.0_05 of the Java VM.
Changes since Pathfinder 2014.3.1208:
- Added dynamic contours / heat maps of occupant data to 3D results
- Added customizable fundamental diagrams to control occupant speed from density
- Improved flow rates through doors to better match SFPE flow rates in steering mode
- Improved occupant movement:
- Improved acceleration model
- Made occupants spread according to Fruin spacing diagram
- Reduced chances of occupants turning 270 degrees to go around a corner
- Added occupant avoidance of wall / doorway boundary layer
- Added ability to specify comfort distance in terms of occupant queuing density or area
- Made it faster to update camera views / tours in complex models
- Made it possible to hide occupants in the results (useful for displaying contours)
- Changed default comfort distance from 1 ft to .08 m to match SFPE density data as speed goes to zero
- Fixed a bug in SFPE mode that could cause occupants to flow at the wrong flowrate through doors leading out of a stairway
- Fixed a bug in SFPE mode that could allow occupants to fill a room slightly above the maximum density
- Fixed a bug that could cause occupants to go the wrong way through a one-way door
- Added warnings that will appear on simulation startup if an output file is locked by another application
- Fixed a bug that could cause occupants to become stuck if they have a room goal beyond a closed door
- Fixed a bug that could cause occupants to pass through others immediately when they turn around after choosing a different door
- Fixed a bug that could cause an occupant to go through a wall and become stuck
- Fixed a crash that could occur during selection or using of the drawing tools
